Art for Change

Wanaque Library presents Art for Change, a free Virtual Arts Education Workshop, organized and coordinated by William Paterson University Galleries.

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in the United States. In this workshop, kids will discuss the book One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia (use your library card to borrow it as an ebook or audiobook).  Then you’ll look at art that calls for equal rights, and create a postcard with your own message!  The workshop will include 15 minutes of book discussion led by children’s librarians Linda Belen (Little Falls Public Library) and Melissa Dunn (Wayne Public Library.

Parents: Please be sure to pre-register each child for the event they wish to attend, in order to receive your art supplies. (Supplies will be provided for each registered participant. You’ll be notified when they are available for pickup from Wanaque Library.)
