Musical Fun for Families * AT RINGWOOD LIBRARY*

September 22 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

4:00 pm on Friday September 22nd  *This program, co-sponsored with Ringwood Library, will be held at the Ringwood Library.*

Join us at 4 pm on September 22nd for the first of four Musical Fun for Families events!

We will explore what makes music – MUSIC! Children will learn about different musical elements and how they are manipulated to tell stories, create a certain mood, and help us to feel different emotions. We’ll explore by listening, playing along with rhythm instruments, and of course, moving!

We will look at the elements of tempo (fast/slow) and dynamics (loud/soft) and see how they are used to create dramatic effects in two pieces from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite. Come and be ready to listen, drum, and move!

This program is about 45 minutes long and will be led by Maureen Butler, president of Ringwood Friends of Music and retired music teacher.

While this program is geared toward families with younger children, all ages are welcome.

Remember, this joint program of Wanaque and Ringwood Libraries will be held AT THE RINGWOOD LIBRARY at 4 pm on Friday September 22nd. We hope you can join us!
