Paying for College Without Going Broke

Wanaque Public Library, a member of the PALS Plus Library Consortium, presents Paying for College Without Going Broke. This workshop for college-bound teens and their parents gives an introduction to the complex world of need-based and merit based financial aid. Parents and students will learn strategies for lowering their EFC (Expected Family Contribution), the new FAFSA rules, and tips for optimizing college admissions and scholarships. Town-Wide Yard Sale Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15, 9 am to 5 pm

Community-wide yard sale coming up in Haskell and Wanaque the weekend of May 14th and 15th!   Although printed maps will not be available, Wanaque Library is compiling a Google map of participating addresses, which is located here: https://wanaquelibrary.tiny.us/ynf3e57h   If you're planning to participate in the sale and want to be on the digital map, email us at wanaquelibrary@gmail.com with your address and town. If you wish, you can also include a sentence or two about what you're selling. Passaic County Book Festival at Weasel Brook Park in Clifton

On June 4th, you're invited to join the fun at Weasel Brook Park in Clifton from 11 am to 4 pm, for a fun day featuring local authors, scholars, and poets across every genre. There will be games, activities for all ages, and author presentations all throughout the day. The Passaic County Book Festival aims to promote and bring awareness to the arts and community through exchanging ideas, encouragement of continued research and creative expression, and the promotion of local libraries. PALS Plus, our library consortium, is delighted to co-sponsor this event along with the Passaic County Department of Cultural & Historical Affairs.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 6:30 pm, join railroad historian Hans Segboer for a trip down memory lane and learn about the history of the Greenwood Lake Railroad Line.  (This is a repeat of his 12/15 program, which filled up so quickly that he agreed to do an encore performance for us!)
