UFOs over Wanaque: 55 Years Later

UFOs over Wanaque: 55 Years Later

Date(s) - January 11
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

On January 11, 1966, a series of strange and mysterious lights appeared over Wanaque Reservoir’s Raymond Dam. Local newspapers and national magazines all covered the peculiar event. As part of the
investigation, town officials spoke with the Air Force, and the National Investigative Committee on Aerial Phenomenon (NICAP) sent investigators to interview witnesses about what exactly they saw.

No one has ever come up with a plausible explanation of where the lights originated. Did they come from beyond the stars? Did UFOs in fact visit northern New Jersey in 1966?

Exactly 55 years later, on January 11th, 2021 at 7:00 pm, the Wanaque Public Library invites you to join storyteller and longtime Wanaque resident Richard Moon for a virtual Zoom program about the UFO sightings. As with all his stories, Richard did a lot of research on the mystifying UFO sightings of 1966.

What better way to spend a cold January night than to listen to a story designed to educate and entertain?
