This postcard, dated July 27, 1905, is addressed to “Miss Nellie Van Orden, Upper Macopin, NJ.” The sender writes: “Dear Sissie, How would you like to be here? Think of the recollections this picture might call forth to those who were once connected with it, of the beautiful scenery surrounding it as you see it here. Also, old ruins such as this is to be dwelt upon in the flight of fancy commonly called imaginations(?). Romance has probably been seen here by many young folk who are now in the declining years of life. Now for basics. Your postal received. This is all I have to say in this card so I must take leave of you. Yours very lovingly, Millie / Milt (?)”
