Curbside Service

December 20, 2020

Dear friends and neighbors,

In order to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID in our community, the library is currently providing curbside service and there is no public access to the library building. We are available to help you online, just email us at and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Or you can call us during business hours at 973-839-4434.

When will we return to in-person building access? Well, we plan to re-evaluate the situation in mid-January and I hope to give you better news then.

Meanwhile, the library’s hours during the upcoming holiday week will be limited:

Monday the 21st, Tuesday the 22nd and Wed the 23rd from 9 am to 5 pm.

We will be closed on Thursday the 24th, Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause you. Rest assured that all your friends at Wanaque Public Library hope that you have a safe and healthy holiday. See you soon.

November 20, 2020

Dear friends and neighbors,

Unfortunately, as you know, the number of COVID-19 cases in New Jersey is once again rising. The library must do our part to keep the rate of infection down in our community, and therefore, in order to limit the amount of in-person contact, our building must close to the public again.  Therefore, effective Monday November 23rd, Wanaque Library will return to our curbside service phase.

Our hours will also change effective 11/23. The revised hours (which will remain in effect throughout the curbside service phase) are:
Mondays and Fridays 9 to 5,
Tuesdays through Thursdays 9 to 6 and
Saturdays 10 to 1

We will continue to provide as many services as possible to you, including curbside pickup of library materials, personalized recommendations of movies and books based on your interests, virtual programming for kids and adults, and phone and email customer service. I encourage you to please call us at 973-839-4434 during the hours we’re open, or email us at anytime, and let us know what you need. My colleagues and I will do our utmost to help you!

By staying physically distanced but virtually connected, I know we can get through this extremely difficult situation together. I wish you and your family a safe and peaceful holiday season.
